Cathode Material Coating
Aluminum Fluoride for Lithium Batteries is mainly used for surface coating modification of lithium-ion battery cathode materials. Coating nano-sized Aluminum Fluoride on NCM and LCO materials forms a stable interface protective layer. This reduces side reactions between the electrolyte and the cathode material. It improves cycling stability and safety at high voltages.
Solid-State Electrolytes
Aluminum Fluoride is also used as an additive. It improves ionic conductivity and interface stability.
